I make no apology for my understanding that God caused this nation to rise and that it was by His providence that it became great. The greatest nation on earth. The beacon of hope and the bulwark of freedom for His children every where. A nation destined to “proclaim liberty throughout all the land [world] unto all the inhabitants thereof:” A nation destined throughout its history, in many conflicts and at the cost of the life’s blood of its citizens, to preserve the liberty and freedom of many nations, kindreds, tongues and peoples.

I make no apology for my understanding that it was God in His infinite wisdom that raised up the Founding Fathers to establish our Constitutional Republic. It was through His Divine providence and inspiration that its founding documents – The Declaration of Independence and the U. S. Constitution – were written. It is from Him that we receive our inalienable rights to life, liberty and property. It must be understood that ALL human rights come from our Father in Heaven and NOT from earthly governments. Because if government has the power and ability to bestow human rights – government has the power to rescind those rights. From 1620 when our Pilgrim Fathers first stepped on Plymouth’s Rock; through the turbulent establishment of this nation; the terrible crucible of Civil War; and on into the first part of the 20th Century, this nation honored this knowledge and the God who caused it to happen.

So what happened in 1913 beginning with the administration of President Woodrow Wilson? By patient, little baby steps, the Progressives, of both parties, began their efforts to TRANSFORM our Constitutional Republic into (more…)

Representative Bart Stupak (D-MI) would have done well to remember Polonius’ counsel to Laertes in Shakespear’s Hamlet: “This above all: to thine ownself be true, and it must follow, as the night the day, thou canst not then be false to any man.” Had he done so he would have retained the “Defender of Life” award he was poised to receive. Had he, and his 11 pro-life colleagues, held firm Obama Care would have gone down in flames. But alas! We all have chinks in our armor and Representative Bart Stupak is just a man and a politician willing to sell his soul for a meaningless Executive Order, which has NO STANDING IN LAW, and a mess of “socialist pottage.”

But he was not alone in accepting a “bribe” from Obama, Reid, or Pelosi. Here is a list of other known “bribes” accepted in exchange for Democratic votes for the Senate Bill which is now the law of the land:

Today marks an interesting day in history. Yet another “Day of Infamy.” Two hundred forty-five years ago today, King George III and the English Parliament enacted the Stamp Act [1765]. Yesterday “King Obama” and the Socialist-DINOs [Democrats In Name Only] of the Congress enacted the ObamaCare Bill. I find this ironic. Ironic as this was, however, Speaker Pelosi’s use of the Declaration of Independence to defend the Bill during her victory speech, was not only the height of irony but the epitome of arrogant hypocrisy!

You may ask, “Why is this the height of irony and the epitome of arrogant hypocrisy.” It is because the Declaration of Independence was written by Thomas Jefferson in opposition to the “Chains of Slavery” being placed on the Colonists by the English. How dare the Speaker twist this great document and malign its purpose in defense of a Bill which will only enslave We the People  rather than ensure our “Independence” from government tyranny.

Also, look at the “craftiness” of this Bill enacted against 78% of We the People .  First of all it collects 10 years of taxes for 6 years of benefits. Yes, Yes, I know that there are sweeteners which we will hear about from the progressives concerning our children being able to be covered until 26 and not being denied coverage for pre-existing conditions, etc., etc. You will not hear from these progressives; however, about the cost to business. Yes, they will tout “tax credits,” but they will mention nothing about the actual 20, or so, taxes required immediately in this Bill.

The greatest “craftiness,” however, is the hope by the progressives that We the People will go back to sleep and not notice the more egregious effects and aspects of this Bill while they tighten their “Chains of Slavery.” They are betting that as they “ease” us into this new “Entitlement,” which is NOT fully in place until 2014, that their planned bureaucracy will be in place and it will NEVER, NEVER, NEVER be dismantled.

These truly are “times that try men souls.”  We the People must continue our vigilance through the mid-term election in November 2010 and the Presidential election of 2012. They may have won this battle in the struggle, but they have NOT won the war. Millions of patriots are rising up to retake “government of the people, by the people, for the people” and We the People will WIN!! We will NOT forget March 21, 2010 any more than we will ever forget December 7, 1941, or September 11, 2001.

Almighty God, Creator of heaven and earth, Thou who hast brought thy children, our ancestors, to this land which is choice above all other lands in search of freedom to seek Thee after their own consciences and too be free of the tyranny of oppressive rulers hear now our prayer as we send it on high to Thee.

Father, we acknowledge our error, as a nation, in not obeying the voice of the Lord our God, nor receiving correction from those whom Thou has sent to warn us. We acknowledge that in the name of progressivism that truth has perished in the education of our children; and, that they no longer learn and know of the greatness of those wise men whom Thou raised up to establish and preserve our Constitutional Republic. We acknowledge that in the name of progressivism we have allowed social-justice programs to eke away at the fiber of self-reliance which made this nation great. We acknowledge that we have not been vigilant in the election of our leaders and because of this, we as a nation are mourning at the impending loss of our freedom as wicked rulers seek to destroy that which came from Thee and for which so many gave the last full measure of devotion to establish and preserve. Father, we acknowledge the wickedness in high places -– in the halls of Congress and the Presidency. We pray Thee that Thou wouldst intervene in our behalf and preserve our Constitutional Republic from the brink of the destruction which we, as a nation, face. We pray Thee that Thou wouldst grant us the time and the will to remove from office those who would destroy this land, our freedoms and our inalienable rights to life, liberty and property all of which come from Thee.

We implore Thee, Almighty God, that thou wouldst hear the prayers of the righteous throughout the land who have awakened to the evil in high places of men and women who seek power for themselves and the chains of slavery for we, Thy children. Grant us time, O Father, to remove them from office because we understand and know that all they propose in the name of progressivism is designed to destroy our Constitutional Republic and to enslave us, Thy children, making us dependent on and servants of the welfare state. Grant us time, O Father, to elect good men and women, Statesmen who will return us to a nation of self-reliant citizens, Statesmen who will not spend more than the nation can sustain, Statesmen who will uphold the oath of their offices to defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic, Statesmen who will pledge their lives, their fortunes and their sacred honor to the preservation of that Constitution and nation which Thou caused to be established.

Father, we humbly place our trust in Thee. We know, once again, that it is only through Thy providence and intervention “that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom, and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth.” We, as a nation, collectively and individually, also pray for the desire and willingness to ever continue to “Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation!” So that, “the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave o’er the land of the free and the home of the brave!” There to be a beacon of hope to all men and women everywhere, throughout the world, that mankind can truly be free from the tyranny of oppressive government. Grant us this our prayer in the sacred name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and the Redeemer of the World. Amen.

When 2nd Lt. James Cathey’s body arrived at the Reno Airport, Marines climbed into the cargo hold of the plane and draped the flag over his casket as passengers watched the family gather on the tarmac.

During the arrival of another Marines’ casket last year at Denver International Airport, Major Steve Beck described the scene as so powerful: “See the people in the windows? They sat right there in the plane, watching those Marines. You gotta wonder what’s going through their minds, knowing that they’re on the plane that brought him home,” he said “They will remember being on that plane for the rest of their lives. They’re going to remember bringing that Marine home . . . And they should.”

The night before the burial of her husband’s body, Katherine Cathey refused to leave the casket, asking to sleep next to his body for the last time The Marines made a bed for her, tucking in the sheets below the flag. Before she fell asleep, she opened her laptop computer and played songs that reminded her of ‘Cat,’ and one of the Marines asked if she wanted them to continue standing watch as she slept. ”I think it would be kind of nice if you kept doing it,” she said. “I think that’s what he would have wanted”

1. The American people inaugurate a half-arab president with a total of 142 days experience as a US Senator from the most politically corrupt state (city) in America whose governors have been ousted from office. The President’s first official act is to order the close of Gitmo and make sure terrorists civil rights are not violated. (honest mistake?)

2. The U.S. Congress rushes to confirm a black Attorney General, Eric Holder, whose law firm we later find out represents seventeen Gitmo Terrorists. (An honest mistake?!)

3. The CIA Boss appointee, Leon Panetta, has absolutely no experience, has a daughter Linda, we find out, who is a true radical anti-American activist and a supporter of all the Anti-American regimes in the western hemisphere. (There were socio-economic factors involved!)

4. We got the second most corrupt American woman (Pelosi is #1) as Secretary of State; bought and paid for. (You can put lipstick on a pig, but it still stinks!)

5. We got a Tax Cheat for Treasury Secretary who did not properly file his own taxes for 12 years. (He misspoke!)

6. A Commerce Secretary nominee who withdrew due to corruption charges. (Another honest mistake???)

7. A Tax cheat nominee for Chief Performance Officer who withdrew under charges. (Hmmm… another screw-up?)

8. A Labor Secretary nominee who withdrew under charges of unethical conduct. (Ok, maybe this person was just plain stupid.)

9. A Secretary HHS nominee (Daschle) who withdrew under charges of cheating on his taxes. (I’m running out of excuses for these idiots!!)

10. Multiple appointments of former lobbyists after an absolute campaign statement that no lobbyists would be appointed. (I am getting a headache!)

All this occurred just during the first three weeks. . . but who’s counting?

America is being run by the modern-day Three Stooges; Barry, Nancy and Harry and they are still trying to define stimulus…”it’s spending!!!”

The congress passes the $800,000,000,000 (that’s $800 billion) pork-loaded spending bill where the government gives you a smidgen of your tax dollars ($13 per week), making you feel so good about yourself [stimulated], that you want to run out to Wal-Mart and buy a new Chinese-made HDTV and go home and watch Telemundo!

Only with the Liberals…

Here’s the good news – President Obama took Air Force One to Denver to sign the stimulus package, wasting as much as 10,000 gallons of fuel OR 24 JOBS FOR ONE YEAR. Don’t you just love hypocrites?

President Obama went to:

1. The IOC to have them choose Chicago for a host city, he failed.
2. Copenhagen to lecture them on global warming, he failed.
3. New Jersey to promote the Democratic candidate for governor, he failed,
4. Virginia to promote the Democratic candidate for governor, he failed.
5. Massachusetts to promote the Democratic candidate for senator, he failed.

And America’s First Family [Christians that they are]:

1. Have NOT attended church services since the inauguration.
2. Did NOT attend any Christmas religious observance.

He must miss Reverend Wright!

And finally, he is the 1st president to remain on vacation after a terrorist attack.

In these times “I’ll keep my God, my freedom, my gun and my money.” Anyone that supports this insanity can keep “THE CHANGE”.

Pray for our country.

If you Google Ray Winke, you will find that he owns his own accounting firm and apparently specializes in tax preparation. He must be fed up with the deficit I guess.

The Washington Post babbled again today about Obama inheriting a huge deficit from Bush, blah blah blah. Amazingly enough, a lot of people swallow this nonsense. So once more, try a short civics lesson.

Budgets do not come from the White House. They come from Congress, and the party that controlled Congress since January 2007 is the Democratic Party.

They controlled the budget process for Fiscal Year 2008 and Fiscal Year 2009, as well as Fiscal Year 2010 and Fiscal Year 2011. In that first year, they had to contend with George Bush, which caused them to compromise on spending when Bush somewhat belatedly got tough on spending increases. For Fiscal Year 2009, though, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid by-passed George Bush entirely, passing continuing resolutions to keep government running until Barack Obama could take office. At that time, they passed a massive omnibus spending bill to complete the Fiscal Year 2009 budgets. And where was Barack Obama during this time? He was a member of that very Congress that passed all of these massive spending bills, and he signed the omnibus bill as President to complete Fiscal Year 2009.

Let’s remember what the deficits looked like during that period:

If the Democrats inherited any deficit, it was the FY 2007 deficit, the last of the Republican budgets. That deficit was the lowest in five years, and the fourth straight decline in deficit spending. After that, Democrats in Congress took control of spending, and that includes Barack Obama, who voted for the budgets. If Obama inherited anything, he inherited it from himself.

In a nutshell, what Obama is saying is I inherited a deficit that I voted for and then I voted to expand that deficit four-fold since January 20th.

I would love to give the Pastor of this predominantly black church in Virginia a hug and a high five. This guy is obviously a leader. Perhaps we should each decide who our real leader is. It is amazing to see that very little has changed in 4,000 years.

Good morning, brothers and sisters; it’s always a delight to see the pews crowded on Sunday morning, and so eager to get into God’s Word. Turn with me in your Bibles, if you will to the 47th chapter of Genesis, we’ll begin our reading at verse 13, and go through verse 27.

Brother Ray, would you stand and read that great passage for us?

So we see that economic hard times fell upon Egypt, and the people turned to the government of Pharaoh to deal with this for them. And Pharaoh nationalized the grain harvest, and placed the grain in great storehouses that he had built. So the people brought their money to Pharaoh, like a great tax increase, and gave it all to him willingly in return for grain. And this went on until their money ran out, and they were hungry again.

So when they went to Pharaoh after that, they brought their livestock -their cattle, their horses, their sheep, and their donkey – to barter for grain, and verse 17 says that only took them through the end of that year. But the famine wasn’t over, was it? So the next year, the people came before Pharaoh and admitted they had nothing left, except their land and their own lives. “There is nothing left in the sight of my lord but our bodies and our land. Why should we die before your eyes, both we and our land? Buy us and our land for food, and we with our land will be servants to Pharaoh..” So they surrendered their homes, their land, and their real estate to Pharaoh’s government, and then sold themselves into slavery to him, in return for grain.

What can we learn from this, brothers and sisters? That turning to the government instead of to God to be our provider in hard times only leads to slavery? Yes. That the only reason government wants to be our provider is to also become our master?

Yes.

But look how that passage ends, brothers and sisters! “Thus Israel settled in the land of Egypt , in the land of Goshen .. And they gained possessions in it, and were fruitful and multiplied greatly.”

God provided for His people, just as He always has! They didn’t end up giving all their possessions to government, no, it says they gained possessions! But I also tell you a great truth today, and an ominous one. We see the same thing happening today – the government today wants to “share the wealth “once again, to take it from us and redistribute it back to us. It wants to take control of healthcare, just as it has taken control of education, and ration it back to us, and when government rations it, then government decides who gets it, and how much, and what kind. And if we go along with it, and do it willingly, then we will wind up no differently than the people of Egypt did four thousand years ago – as slaves to the government, and as slaves to our leaders.

What Mr. Obama’s government is doing now is no different from what Pharaoh’s government did then, and it will end the same. And a lot of people like to call Mr.Obama a “Messiah,” don’t they? Is he a Messiah? A savior? Didn’t the Egyptians say, after Pharaoh made them his slaves, “You have saved our lives; may it please my lord, we will be servants to Pharaoh”?

Well, I tell you this – I know the Messiah; the Messiah is a friend of mine; and Mr. Obama is no Messiah! No, brothers and sisters, if Mr. Obama is a character from the Bible, then he is Pharaoh.

Bow with me in prayer, if you will… Lord, You alone are worthy to be served, and we rely on You, and You alone. We confess that the government is not our deliverer, and never rightly will be. We read in the eighth chapter of 1 Samuel, when Samuel warned the people of what a ruler would do, where it says “And in that day you will cry out because of your king, whom you have chosen for yourselves, but the LORD will not answer you in that day.”

And Lord, we acknowledge that day has come. We cry out to you because of the ruler that we have chosen for ourselves as a nation. Lord, we pray for this nation. We pray for revival, and we pray for deliverance from those who would be our masters. Give us hearts to seek You and hands to serve You, and protect Your people from the atrocities of Pharaoh’s government.
