CATCHING PIGS – THIS IS TRULY THOUGHT PROVOKING

Wednesday, July 28th, 2010

There was a chemistry professor in a large college that had some exchange students in the class. One day while the class was in the lab, the Prof noticed one young man, an exchange student, who kept rubbing his back and stretching as if his back hurt.

The professor asked the young man what was the matter. The student told him he had a bullet lodged in his back. He had been shot while fighting communists in his native country who were trying to overthrow his country’s government and install a new communist regime.

In the midst of his story, he looked at the professor and asked a strange question. He asked: “Do you know how to catch wild pigs?”

The professor thought it was a joke and asked (more…)

Illegal Aliens and Deportation

Wednesday, July 28th, 2010

The following email, in various renditions, has been circulating on the Internet for some time.

Here is something that should be of great interest to every reader that I didn’t know until it was pointed out to me. What did Hoover, Truman, and Eisenhower have in common?

Back during The Great Depression, President Herbert Hoover ordered the deportation of ALL illegal aliens in order to make jobs available to American citizens that desperately needed work..

Harry Truman deported over two million Illegal’s after WWII to create jobs for returning veterans.

And then again in 1954, President Dwight Eisenhower deported approximately 13 million [Actually 1 million] Mexican Nationals! The program was called ‘Operation Wetback’. It was done so WWII and Korean Veterans would have a better chance at jobs. It took 2 Years, but they deported them!

Now….if they could deport the illegal’s back then – they could sure do it today.

Except today there are over-riding political concerns – (more…)

“But What Can I Do?”

Wednesday, July 21st, 2010

By William J. Dell

The Rev. Edward Everett Hale is generally remembered for his famous story of one Lt. Philip Nolan, “The Man Without a Country.” Many of us today may share in this feeling of being without a country as our elected representatives treat We the People as if we were not Americans and their employers. Many of us may despair in the plight that seems to have fallen to our Constitutional Republic and ask, “But what can I do?” To this I would respond with a quote from this same Rev. Edward Everett Hale:

I am only one, but I am one.
I cannot do everything, but I can do something.
The something I ought to do, I can do.
And by the grace of God, I will.

It is interesting to me that all the great decisions of one’s life must be made individually. There really is no “collective” without individual decision and commitment. During the era of the War for Independence, (more…)

AMERICA, THE LAST MAN STANDING

Wednesday, July 21st, 2010

By William J. Dell

As I write this today, I am reminded of the admonition of Goethe, the German philosopher, “Truth must be repeated again and again because error is constantly being preached round about.”

There is recorded in the Book of Proverbs the following: “When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; but when the wicked beareth rule, the people morn.” [Proverbs 29:2]

I used a similar text for a thesis in 1968 just prior to my deployment to Viet Nam. In the 42 years since then, the situation in our beloved America, (more…)

The 8 Signs of Terrorism

Wednesday, July 21st, 2010

Thanks to Bob Anderson and the CSIA Report for this information.

Analyst’s Notes:

It’s an amazing thing when the leaders and organizations in our STATES are more proactive about terrorism than our FEDERAL government. Consider the video’s presented to the citizens of Arizona on how to identify potential terrorist activities. The Arizona Counter Terrorism Information Center has produced a series of videos to inform citizens like you and me about the signs we should be looking for.

It is stunning that it takes us 9 years to get this kind of information to the general public. Considering the criminal elements crossing our borders, of many nationalities to include those of terror-sponsoring nations we all need to be more vigilant. When our Federal government fails to do it’s job, the only other choice is to tuck our heads in the sand and die…. I prefer to be vigilant!

The 8 signs include:

1. Surveillance
2. Gathering information
3. Testing security
4. Finances
5. Acquiring supplies
6. People who don’t belong
7. Dry run rehearsal
8. Getting into position [Deploying Assets]

Dr. Suess and Uncle Sam

Wednesday, July 21st, 2010

If T. Geisel were alive…

I do not like this Uncle Sam,
I do not like his health care scam.
I do not like these dirty crooks,
or how they lie and cook the books.
I do not like when Congress steals,
I do not like their secret deals.
I do not like this speaker Nan,
I do not like this ‘YES WE CAN’.
I do not like this spending spree,
I’m smart, I know that nothing’s free,
I do not like your smug replies,
when I complain about your lies.
I do not like this kind of hope.
I do not like it. nope, nope, nope!

Many Fronts As The War Goes On

Wednesday, July 14th, 2010

By William J Dell

The book of Revelation indicates that before the Creation there was a war in Heaven and that Michael expelled Satan along with one-third of the host of Heaven for rebelling against God and the Lamb. In the twelfth chapter, John expands on this and indicates that Satan continues this war here on the earth. From the Scriptures, it would appear that, in the eyes of God, there are only two churches on the earth: The one is the Christian Church, the true followers of Christ regardless of denomination; and, the other is the church of the devil, which is made up of ALL organizations; whether political, philosophical, educational, economic, social, fraternal, civic, or religious; those organizations whose principles lead away from God and His laws or oppose Christ and the teachings of His Gospel.

As the world heads pell-mell toward the final Battle of Armageddon, Satan has been and is consolidating his forces. He is doing this on many fronts through his many minions. He is attacking the traditional family. He is attacking self-reliance. He is attacking the inalienable rights of man granted by God. He is attacking the foundations of our Divinely inspired Constitutional Republic. He is attacking every Judeo-Christian principle upon which our nation was founded and that has been the basis of every moral society and civilization since Moses received the Decalogue on Mount Sinai.

Satan’s church on the earth has had many faces throughout history. For much off our lifetime (more…)

The Pickle Jar

Thursday, July 8th, 2010

The pickle jar as far back as I can remember sat on the floor beside the dresser in my parents’ bedroom. When he got ready for bed, Dad would empty his pockets and toss his coins into the jar.

As a small boy, I was always fascinated at the sounds the coins made as they were dropped into the jar. They landed with a merry jingle when the jar was almost empty. Then the tones gradually muted to a dull thud as the jar was filled.

I used to squat on the floor in front of the jar to admire the copper and silver circles that glinted like a pirate’s treasure (more…)

All Dogs Go to Heaven

Wednesday, July 7th, 2010

This is one of the kindest things you may ever see. It is not known who replied, but there is a beautiful soul working in the dead letter office of the US postal service.

Our 14 year old dog, Abbey, died last month. The day after she died, my 4 year old daughter Meredith was crying and talking about how much she missed Abbey. She asked if we could write a letter to God so that when Abbey got to heaven, God would recognize her. I told her that I thought we could so she dictated these words:

Dear God,

Will you please take care of my dog? She died yesterday (more…)
