Barack Obama is the best thing that has happened to America in the last 100 years. Truly, he is the savior of America’s future. He is the best thing ever.

Despite the fact that he has some of the lowest approval ratings among recent presidents, history will see Barack Obama as the source of America’s resurrection. Barack Obama has plunged the country into levels of debt that we could not have previously imagined; his efforts to nationalize health care have been met with fierce resistance nationwide; TARP bailouts and stimulus spending have shown little positive effect on the national economy; unemployment is unacceptably high and looks to remain that way for most of a decade; legacy entitlement programs have ballooned to unsustainable levels, and there is a seething anger in the populace.

That’s why Barack Obama is such a good thing for America.

You may know, Cruz Construction started a division in North Dakota just 6 months ago. They sent every Kenworth (9 trucks) we had here in Alaska to North Dakota and several drivers. They just bought two new Kenworth’s to add to that fleet; one being a Tri Drive tractor and a new 65 ton lowboy to go with it. They also bought two new cranes (one crawler & one rubber tired) for that division. Dave Cruz said they have moved more rigs in the last 6 months in ND than Cruz Construction moved in Alaska in the last 6 years. Williston is like a gold rush town; they moved one of our 40 man camps down there since there are no rooms available. Unemployment in ND is the lowest in the nation at 3.4 percent last I checked. See anything in the national news about how the oil industry is fueling North Dakota’s economy?

About 6 months ago, the writer was watching a news program on oil and one of the Forbes Bros. was the guest. The host said to Forbes, “I am going to ask you a direct question and I would like a direct answer; how much oil does the U.S. have in the ground?” Forbes did not miss a beat, he said, “more than all (more…)

Earlier today, I had the privilege of sitting down with National Sheriff of the Year Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu to discuss his reaction to Operation Fast and Furious and his ongoing fight against ruthless drug cartels. After our conversation, it became clear the Obama Administration is fighting him with lawsuits and by arming the very cartels he and his deputies are trying to combat in the Arizona desert.

Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu is fighting what he describes as the most ruthless criminals in North America, on American soil in Southern Arizona. In his county, cartels use look-out posts, or “spotters,” to detect and move around law enforcement, and shootouts with cartels members are a normal occurrence.

Genocide in the 20^th Century was perpetrated by 49 “governmental” leaders in 41 different countries as noted by Piero Scaruffi. Of these, eleven were responsible for more than 1,000,000 deaths and another seventeen for more than 100,000 but less than 1,000,000 deaths. The totals of the deaths of these 28 genocides alone reach nearly 62 million!

In terms of historical eras, in the pre World War II era, we find Leopold II of Belgium responsible for the deaths of eight million Congo citizens, Ismail Enver of Turkey responsible for the deaths of 1.2 million, and Jozef Stalin of Russia responsible for a mind-boggling 23 million deaths. Most of us are familiar with the Holocaust during World War II wherein Adolf Hitler of Germany killed six million Jews but he was also responsible for the deaths of an additional five to seven million depending on the source. During this same period Hideki Tojo of Japan killed five million persons. The post World War II era has been no less bloody. There are the genocides of North Korea with 1.6 million deaths, Biafra with one million deaths, Ethiopia with 1.5 million deaths, and the Cambodian “killing fields” of Pol Pot with 1.7 million deaths.

I don’t know if this really happened, but the gist of the story makes sense. (sort of like the “is this jar full – when it has golf balls in it — or will something else fit in” email that went around.

This man is truly a genius!

An economics professor at a local college made a statement that he had never failed a single student before, but had recently failed an entire class. That class had insisted that Obama’s socialism worked and that no one would be poor and no one would be rich, a great equalizer.

The professor then said, “OK, we will have an experiment in this class on Obama’s plan”.. All grades would be averaged and everyone would receive the same grade so no one would fail and no one would receive an A….

After the first test, the grades were averaged and everyone got a B. The students who studied hard were upset and the students who studied little were happy. As the second test rolled around, the students who studied little had studied even less and the ones who studied hard decided they wanted a free ride too so they studied little.

The second test average was a D! No one was happy.

When the 3rd test rolled around, the average was an F.

As the tests proceeded, the scores never increased as bickering, blame and name-calling all resulted in hard feelings and no one would study for the benefit of anyone else.

All failed, to their great surprise, and the professor told them that socialism would also ultimately fail because when the reward is great, the effort to succeed is great, but when government takes all the reward away, no one will try or want to succeed.

Could not be any simpler than that. Remember, there is a test coming up — The 2012 elections.

I remember reading about the children of Israel who turned from God time and time again, only to realize their mistake and pray for forgiveness. Each time, God would forgive them and they would walk with him for a time. So, I am going to ask you to join me in praying for our nation every day. Please read the email below. God is in control.

May God Have Mercy On America; Protect Our Troops. When I was in Atlanta last week, there were signs in people’s yards that said, ” America , prayer is our only hope” – with 2 Chronicles 7:14 underneath. We certainly need God’s help!

I have no idea who started this, but I certainly agree with this e-mail. I heard a preacher on TV tonight who said if we pray for our nation things will turn around.

After a day of contemplation and soul searching, I have decided to reach out to my friends and relatives and ask you to do something that has been troubling me for a long time.

Our nation is/has been on the slippery slope for a long time. If you look around you will find corruption, greed, moral decay, and a steady move away from the things that made us great. The principles upon which this nation was founded are no longer our backbone. However, we can reverse this trend.

2 Chronicles. 7:14 in God’s Word, He states, “If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” I am convinced that we must pray for our nation and its leaders and ask for forgiveness. So I ask you to join me in this plea to our Lord. I am asking you to pray EVERY DAY.

Here’s a quote from Ronald Reagan: “If we ever forget that we are one nation under God, then we will be a nation gone under.” I truly believe this is why the United States of America is in the shape it’s in today.

Most people have forgotten that we are ONE NATION UNDER GOD! Let us as Christians stand up and remind people of this.

Like all other Viet Nam Era and World War II Veterans, I was promised when I signed on the dotted line both what was written into the contract and what was promised in the oft-stated “oral contract” by recruiters and superiors during my service. Foremost in this was the many verbal assurances that we, as Veterans, and our spouses would have free medical for life. A benefit which has already been cut by Medicare B payments and co-pays for services and prescription drugs received when we become 65 and must join TRICARE for Life.

I found in my email inbox today from Military.com (you can sign up at http://feeds.feedburner.com/militaryadvantage for the emails) a very disturbing article that Senator John McCain (R-AZ) has sent a letter to the Budget Super-Committee stating that he is OK with placing “cuts” in our military benefits on the table.

What is he thinking? Has he forgotten the trials and tribulations of those who wore and are wearing the uniform in defense of our Constitutional Republic? Has he forgotten his own service and the years in the Hanoi Hilton? Has he forgotten the promises (more…)

Mr. Hope and Change wants to create a nation humbled; humiliated, casting-aside capitalism and individual freedoms for one where “we the people” are government controlled. This would be a system that genuflects mediocrity, steals personal aspiration and opportunity, and punishes those who strive to succeed.

A gallon of regular gasoline the day Obama was inaugurated was $1.79 on average in the U.S. Today that price is $3.59, a 100.6% increase. The number of food stamp recipients has risen since Obama took office from 31,983,716 to 43,200,878, a 35.1% jump. Long term unemployment soared 146.2% during the same 32 month period from 2,600,000 to 6,400,000. Staggering “hope and change” isn’t it?

American citizens living in poverty have risen 9.5% from 39,800,000 to 43,600,000, and the number of unemployed has jumped almost 25% from 11,616,000 to 14,485,000 as of August 31, 2011. The number of unemployed blacks has risen from 12.6% at the end of George Bush’s term to 15.8% today, a 25.4% increase, and finally, our national debt is up 34.4% from 10.627 trillion to 14,278 trillion *
