Is the Congresses POOR Public Rating Justified?
There is no doubt, at least in this writers mind, that the low public rating of Congress is justified. However, let us do a little analysis to see if ALL the Senators and House members deserve these low ratings. Yes, I know, I hear that all the 535 members need to be thrown out.
The common compliant that I hear is that they are not working together and getting legislation passed. So let us look at the first 2 years of Obama’s term. The Democrats had control of the White House, Senate and the House. Let us see, there has not been a Federal Budget in over 1000 days, which would include the first two years. Therefore, it seems that Obama cannot even get his own party to support him to pass a Budget. In addition, those darn Republicans were not there to support the president’s budget. O, that’s right, they did not have the votes necessary, as they did not have the majority. However, the 2010 election gave the House majority to the Republicans so why couldn’t they see to it that the President’s budget is passed. I guess there is that little problem with Senator Harry Reid(D) since the Democrats have control of the Senate.
But all you hear from Obama is that it is the Congress that is not working with him and then goes on to tell the public that it is the Republicans that are holding up his budget and legislation. Again, those darn Republicans.
I just may not understand the workings of the federal government as to why Obama cannot get his budget passed when his party had total control and somehow it is the Republicans fault. Well good for the Republicans. When the Democrats had total control the Democrats would NOT let the Republicans proposed any Bills or Amendments to reach the floor and now they are to blame. Well good for the Republicans. Now that they have control of the House they are refusing to support Obama just as the Democrats did when Pelosi(D) refused to support Obama’s budget.
I would say that we need to support the Congress’s low rating for the Democrats and raise it for the Republicans. We need to keep the Conservative Republicans in office so that they can continue to fight Obamas radical legislative policies that are destroying America. It was the 60 or so Tea Party Conservative Congressman that are fighting Obama and Republican Boehner who is trying to keep the House doing business as usual instead of pushing the Conservative Tea Movement agenda.
Now the very latest is that Obama is blaming the Founding Fathers for setting up such a difficult form of government so that he can’t push his radical leftist socialist agenda. Didn’t I say that the Democrats that control of the Senate and House but I guess Obama just didn’t convince those darn Democrats that he was also a Democrat. But then he believes that the Constitution should be a living document as it also seems the Democrat Party.
Thank God for the wisdom of the Founding Fathers.
First, it was President Bush’s fault, then the Republicans and now the Founding Fathers. O it just can’t be Obama’s or the Democrats as they seem to be above reproach. Since we have a majority of the media being of left wing leading it is the Silent Majority, the Tea Movement citizens that are going to have to rise up again this year to defeat Obama, Senator Reid and enough other Democrats to not only keep the Republican majority in the House but take over the Senate and the White House if this Country is going to survive.
After that happens on November 6th then we must be ever vigilant and active in making sure that the Republicans steer a Conservative course in their governing. We can NEVER let up on our efforts as power surfaces and corrupts and seems to corrupt no matter what Party is in power as history has shown us.
