Continued Threats to Our Constitutional Republic

Wednesday, December 29th, 2010

Amore Dei, Familiae, Patriae ducit !

Although the 112th Congress will be seated next month, we, as a nation, are still in peril from within. We made strides this past November to clean the “people’s house” and Senate but we still have a long way to go in our efforts to save our Constitutional Republic. There are still Socialists and Progressives within the Federal Government, all three branches and the bureaucrats who serve them, who are evil-conspiring men and women seeking to transform our Divinely inspired Constitutional Republic into a Welfare Socialist State. These same persons decry American exceptionalism and sovereignty in favor of the “one world government” philosophy of George Sorus and his ilk.

They do NOT believe in the unalienable rights of man to Life, Liberty, and Property as an endowment by our Creator. They believe that government is the grantor and controller. They believe in the redistribution of wealth and the enslavement of We the People with them as the masters. They seek to accomplish this through social-justice programs that create an entitlement mentality which as Jefferson predicted, wastes “the labors of the people under the pretense of caring for them.” These politicians, and their fellow-travelers, perpetuate rhetoric and propaganda designed to create class and ethnic warfare to divide us; rather than, civil discourse which would unite us as Americans.

We, as Americans, have always welcomed to our shores those who sought for freedom from (more…)

“After America , There is No Place to Go”

By: Kitty Werthmann

What I am about to tell you is something you’ve probably never heard or will ever read in history books.

I believe that I am an eyewitness to history. I cannot tell you that Hitler took Austria by tanks and guns; it would distort history. We elected him by a landslide – 98% of the vote.. I’ve never read that in any American publications. Everyone thinks that Hitler just rolled in with his tanks and took Austria by force.

In 1938, Austria was in deep Depression. Nearly one-third of our workforce was unemployed. We had 25% inflation and 25% bank loan interest rates. Farmers and business people were declaring bankruptcy daily. Young people were going from house to house begging for food. Not that they didn’t want to work; there simply (more…)

Merry Christmas and God Bless Us Every One !

Amore Dei, Familiae, Patriae ducit !

I have hanging on the office wall here at the Freedom-Fighters Forum a lithograph entitled “The Prince of Peace.” If you are unfamiliar with it, it depicts the Savior of the World, the height of the building, standing in mid-air, knocking on the United Nations building in New York. [Rev 3:20] Wouldn’t it be nice if they would let Him in not only to the building but to their hearts so that there might be “on earth peace, good will toward men” this Christmas season and always.

At this time of year it would be well if each of us remembers that the first gift of Christmas was a child. The Prophet Isaiah, 700 years prior to his birth said concerning this gift, “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.” [Isaiah 9:6]

The Apostle John, in his Gospel, told us why this gift was given when he recorded the Savior telling Nicodemus, “For God so loved the world, He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.” [John 3:16,17]

So love came down at Christmas, heralded by angels, witnessed by shepherds and visited by Wise Men [Luke 2; Matt 2]. But still 2000 years later the message of the angels seems like an impossible dream. Much of the time we, as Christians, mimic the words of Longfellow’s civil war Christmas carol “I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day.”

And in despair I bowed my head;
“There is no peace on earth,” I said;
“For hate is strong,
And mocks the song
Of peace on earth, good-will to men!”

But his carol does not end there. Today, as we are a nation at war, let us not forget the message of hope that follows the message of despair. In these trying times of internal and external strife let us go on, hear and have faith in the words:

Then pealed the bells more loud and deep:
“God is not dead; nor doth he sleep!
The Wrong shall fail,
The Right prevail,
With peace on earth, good-will to men!

Lastly, I would hope this Christmas season that we, as Christians, would be looking and praying for the Second Advent. When the Lord God Omnipotent will reign. When the kingdoms of this world will become the kingdom of our Lord and He shall reign forever and ever, as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Hallelujah!

Merry Christmas to you and yours, and as tiny Tim said,
“God bless us every one !”

May God Bless and Save the United States of America !

Will You Give This to my Daddy?

Wednesday, December 8th, 2010

As a Company, Southwest Airlines is going to support ‘Red Fridays.’

Last week I was in Atlanta , Georgia attending a conference. While I was in the airport, returning home, I heard several people behind me beginning to clap and cheer. I immediately turned around and witnessed One of the greatest acts of patriotism I have ever seen.

Moving thru the terminal was a group of soldiers in their camos. As they began heading to their gate, everyone (well almost everyone) was abruptly to their feet with their hands waving and cheering.

When I saw the soldiers, probably 30-40 of them, being applauded and Cheered for, it hit me. I’m not alone. I’m not the only red-blooded American who still loves this country and supports our troops and their families.

Of course I immediately stopped and began clapping for these young unsung heroes who are putting their lives on the line everyday for us so we can go to school, work and home without fear or reprisal.

Just when I thought I could not be more proud of my country or of our Service men and women, a young girl, not more than 6 or 7 years old ran up to one of the male soldiers. He kneeled down and said ‘hi…’

The little girl then asked him if he would give something to her daddy for her… (more…)

CIA Interrogation

Wednesday, December 8th, 2010

Really quite unbelievable!

As President George W. Bush’s top speech writer, Marc Thiessen was provided unique access to the CIA program used in interrogating top Al Qaeda terrorists, including the mastermind of the 9/11 attack, Khalid Sheikh Mohammad (KSM).

Now, his riveting new book, Courting Disaster”, How the CIA Kept America Safe (Regnery ), has been published.

Here is an excerpt from “Courting Disaster”:

Just before dawn on March 1, 2003, two dozen heavily armed Pakistani tactical assault forces move in and surround a safe house in Rawalpindi . A few hours earlier they had received a text message from an informant inside the house. It read: “I am with KSM.”

Bursting in, they find the disheveled mastermind of the 9/11 attacks, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, in his bedroom. He is taken into custody. In the safe house, they find a treasure trove of computers, documents, cell phones and other valuable “pocket litter.”

Once in custody, KSM is defiant. He refuses to (more…)

Veterans Day 2010 – Lest We Forget

Wednesday, November 10th, 2010

By CTMCM William J. Dell, USN (Retired)

IN FLANDERS FIELDS
 Captain John D. McCrae

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe!
To you from failing hands, we throw
The torch – be yours to hold it high!
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

Do our children and grandchildren today know the meaning behind these words and what “The Torch” represents? Are we and they even interested in catching “The Torch” thrown from the failing hands of Patriots then and now?

I have pondered what to write today with Veterans Day tomorrow. Somehow I even wondered if it is important anymore. In the rush-rush world that we live in nothing seems to have real value particularly with the social-networking, younger-generation crowd. They are tuned into iPods, Facebook and Twitter but seem to have forgotten, if they ever learned, the (more…)

Rebecca Rooney and Weston, MO — Patriots

Wednesday, November 10th, 2010

By William J. Dell

This writer’s heart burst with pride when he heard the story on Fox News concerning the Funeral of SFC C. J. Sadell in Weston, MO. When Rebecca Rooney heard that the Westboro Baptist Church was coming to her hometown to protest at their fallen soldier’s funeral, she sprang into action. She was NOT going to allow this disgrace in her hometown.

She got in contact with the Patriot Guard who were coming to protect the family the day of the funeral. She determined on what corner the Westboro Baptist Church had received permission to protest. She organized the citizens through “Operation Dignified Protective Stance” in which nearly half the populace of the city participated.

They arrived early and took up all the available parking. They filled each of the corners of the intersection with flag carrying citizens. They had a sound system to play patriotic music and the Patriotic Guard was there to rev their engines and drown out Phelps and his members.

Because “Operation Dignified Protective Stance,” when Phelps arrived in his van his protest lasted but 15 minutes. God bless Rebecca Rooney and the citizens who joined her in allowing SFC Sadell’s family the dignity and respect they deserved in laying their solider to rest. May other cities take a lesson from Rebecca Rooney and the patriotic citizens of Weston, MO; and may they go and do likewise !

Lastly, SFC C. J. Sadell thank you for your service and go in peace. TAPS!

May God Bless and Save the United States of America !

May I Salute You?

Wednesday, November 10th, 2010

By Patricia Salwei

I approached the entrance to Ft Belvoir’s medical facility last year as an old veteran puttered towards me. Easily over 80 years old, stooped and slow, I barely gave him a second glance because right behind him, on his heels, was a full bird colonel. As they approached, I rendered a sharp salute and barked, “Good morning, Sir!” Because they were heel to toe, I began my salute as the old veteran was about two paces from me. He immediately came to life! Transformed by my greeting, he rose to his full height, returned my salute with pride, and exclaimed, “Good morning captain!” I was startled, but the full bird behind him was flabbergasted. The colonel stopped mid-salute, smiled at me and quietly moved on.

As I entered the clinic, the utter beauty of the encounter preoccupied me. What prompted the old man to assume that I was saluting him? Perhaps he just thought, “It’s about time!” After all, doesn’t a WWII vet outrank us all? I turned my attention to the waiting room taking a moment to survey the veterans there. Service people rushed around, loudspeakers blared, the bell for the prescription window kept ringing. It was a whirl of activity and the older veterans sat quietly on the outside seemingly out of step, patiently waiting to be seen. Nobody was seeing. My old friend stayed on my mind.

I began to pay attention to the military’s attitude towards its veterans. Predominately, I witnessed (more…)

Take A Moment To Thank A Veteran

Wednesday, November 10th, 2010

Author: By Joanna Fuchs

When you see someone in a uniform
Someone who serves us all,
Doing military duty,
Answering their country’s call,
Take a moment to thank them
For protecting what you hold dear;
Tell them you are proud of them;
Make it very clear.
Just tap them on the shoulder,
Give a smile, and say,
“Thanks for what you’re doing;
To keep us safe in the USA!”

War on Terror and Carbon Emissions

Monday, August 2nd, 2010

By Mark Beres, Maj. USAF (ret.)
Tucson, Arizona

Nobody can be this stupid and still be compatible with life!

You will simply not believe this. Our 8th District US Congressional representative, the Hon. Gabrielle Giffords, in a meeting of the House Armed Services Committee, asked General David Petraeus the following question: “General Petraeus, what are you doing to reduce carbon emissions in the war on terror?”

Wow. I had to read, and re-read this several times to believe it. Folks, there are American sons and daughters dying every week on the foreign battlefields of southwest Asia. The nation is completely bankrupt and … quite literally, borrowing 43 cents for every dollar in federal spending. We have the largest environmental disaster in the nation’s history in the Gulf of Mexico, and we have Mexican drug armies invading our nation. And yet …. A member of Congress from Arizona’s 8th congressional district took the time to ask our battlefield commander what he is doing to curb carbon emissions in the war.

Gabrielle Giffords is the poster-child for what is wrong with the US Congress. We are being led by imbeciles. To the rest of America reading this blog, and to Gen. Petraeus if this e-mail makes it to your inbox … my sincerest apologies for the stupid question asked of you by my US congressional representative. General … I am sure you have better things to worry about than carbon emissions on the battlefield. I assure you, as a registered voter in Arizona’s 8th congressional district, I will do everything I can to ensure Rep. Giffords is voted out of office in November, and I pray you’ll get back to business of fighting the war on terror without worrying about such petty and nonsensical matters as your carbon footprint in the war.
