President Emeritus, The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod
Presidential Ambassador for Mission Advancement,

He is being mocked and ridiculed but he keeps bending that knee!!!

In a recent email, I read about a woman named Pam, who knows the pain of considering abortion. More than 24 years ago, she and her husband Bob were serving as missionaries to the Philippines and praying for a fifth child. Pam contracted amoebic dysentery, an infection of the intestine caused by a parasite found in contaminated food or drink. She went into a coma and was treated with strong antibiotics before they discovered she was pregnant.

Doctors urged her to abort the baby for her own safety and (more…)

A Thanksgiving Prayer 2011

Tuesday, November 22nd, 2011

By William J. Dell
Amore Dei, Familiae, Patriae ducit !

O God, our Father, it is with grateful hearts that we acknowledge Thy hand in all things and recognize; that Thou hast promised us Eternal Life with Thee through our obedience and the Atonement of thy Son, Jesus Christ; that Thou hast given unto us our loving spouses and goodly parents; that Thou hast provided home and clothing to shelter our family from the storms of life and a bounteous harvest with which to provide for our needs; that Thou hast granted unto us personal strength and charity that we might serve Thee and our neighbor, who may be sick or afflicted, poor or needy, or who may have cause to mourn; that Thou through Thine Divine Providence hast granted to us our unalienable Rights to Life, Liberty and Property in this great land of the United States.

Hear now, O God, our prayer for an ungodly nation. Deliver us from deceitful and unjust politicians and send us Statesmen who will honor their oath of office and defend the Constitution which Thou hast caused to be established. Hear the prayers of Thy faithful children as they ascend to Thee that we, as a nation, might remain free and have Thy help to turn us from our wicked ways; that our national sins might be forgiven; and, that Thou might thereby heal our land.

Cleanse our land of the ills of Progressive Ideology that destroys initiative and self-reliance through covetous greed; that bends equal-justice, or opportunity, into social-justice which has already enslaved 47% of our citizens; that creates attitudes of entitlement that rob Thy children of their unalienable right to Liberty; that bend private ownership, Christian charity and brotherly love into the compulsion of state redistribution. Cleanse us from unwise and unsound fiscal policies and laws which deny entrepreneurs and risk takers of the just reward of their labors and have burdened our nation with a $15 Trillion debt. Cleanse us from the genocide of abortion which has murdered more than 53 Million unborn children of God destroying their unalienable right to Life.

Help us, O God, to have the fortitude, courage and faith of our ancestors, our fathers and mothers, they who built, with Thy aid, the greatest nation the world has ever known, a nation that has stood as a beacon of hope to all those chained by tyranny and oppression throughout the world. Grant us now the will and determination to make the hard choices which confront us to restore our Constitutional Republic to that which our Founding Fathers gave us through Thy divine providence. Grant Almighty God, through Thine divine help that we, as a nation, might once again “secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity.”

In the blessed name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and the Redeemer of the World. Amen.

May God Bless and Save the United States of America.
Our Constitutional Republic !

Muslim Day at the U. S. Capitol

Tuesday, November 8th, 2011

When we get 100,000,000, that’s one hundred million willing Christians to BOND together, voice their concerns and vote, we can take back America with God’s help, Become one of the One hundred million, then lets get 200 million. It can be done by sending this email to your friends. Do the math. It only takes a willing heart and a fed up soul. God Bless America and Shine your light on Her.

In 1952 President Truman established one day a year as a “National Day of Prayer.”

In 1988 President Reagan designated the First Thursday in May of each year as the National Day of Prayer.
In June 2007 (then) Presidential Candidate Barack Obama declared that the USA “Was no longer a Christian nation.”

In 2009 President Obama CANCELED (more…)

Pray for Our Nation

Saturday, October 22nd, 2011

I remember reading about the children of Israel who turned from God time and time again, only to realize their mistake and pray for forgiveness. Each time, God would forgive them and they would walk with him for a time. So, I am going to ask you to join me in praying for our nation every day. Please read the email below. God is in control.

May God Have Mercy On America; Protect Our Troops. When I was in Atlanta last week, there were signs in people’s yards that said, ” America , prayer is our only hope” – with 2 Chronicles 7:14 underneath. We certainly need God’s help!

I have no idea who started this, but I certainly agree with this e-mail. I heard a preacher on TV tonight who said if we pray for our nation things will turn around.

After a day of contemplation and soul searching, I have decided to reach out to my friends and relatives and ask you to do something that has been troubling me for a long time.

Our nation is/has been on the slippery slope for a long time. If you look around you will find corruption, greed, moral decay, and a steady move away from the things that made us great. The principles upon which this nation was founded are no longer our backbone. However, we can reverse this trend.

2 Chronicles. 7:14 in God’s Word, He states, “If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” I am convinced that we must pray for our nation and its leaders and ask for forgiveness. So I ask you to join me in this plea to our Lord. I am asking you to pray EVERY DAY.

Here’s a quote from Ronald Reagan: “If we ever forget that we are one nation under God, then we will be a nation gone under.” I truly believe this is why the United States of America is in the shape it’s in today.

Most people have forgotten that we are ONE NATION UNDER GOD! Let us as Christians stand up and remind people of this.

A CHURCH WE DIDN’T KNOW ABOUT.

The “Christianity” Test

Thursday, July 21st, 2011

By William J. Dell
Amore Dei, Familiae, Patriae ducit !

In an incident of déja vu Ainsley Earhardt of Fox News on Sunday, July 17 raised the question first raised in the 2008 Presidential Election cycle of Mitt Romney’s, and by extension Jon Huntsman’s, avowed “Mormon” Christianity. It is strange to me that similar statements were NOT and are NOT raised by the media when it comes to President Barak Obama about his avowed “Black Liberation” Christianity. On the surface from a cursory examination alone, one would have to conclude that “Mormon” Christianity is pro American while “Black Liberation” Christianity is anti American.

Another question also comes to mind. Why is President Obama’s declaration (more…)

National Day of Prayer

Wednesday, May 4th, 2011

By William J. Dell – 4 May 2011
Amore Dei, Familiae, Patriae ducit !

Annually since 1952 this nation has observed the National Day of Prayer. This year’s observance will be tomorrow, 5 May. The theme for this year is “A Mighty Fortress is Our God.”

Followers of this Blog are well aware of the three passions of my life – God, Family, Country. Our nation is suffering from its neglect of spiritual things and thinking. We, as a nation, truly have forgotten the Divine Providence that caused this nation to rise. In fact, many even deny the existence of God and believe that we have done all these things of ourselves.

As you observe our National Day of Prayer (more…)

LAUS DEO

Wednesday, April 20th, 2011

By William J. Dell
Amore Dei, Familiae, Patriae ducit !

At this Easter season with all the uproar about removing prayer and Bible reading from the schools and the ten commandments from public places, etc., this is worth a moment or two of your time.

A little known detail about our nation’s capitol is that in Washington, D.C. there can never be a building greater in height than the Washington Monument. A little known fact concerning the monument is that on the East side of the aluminum cap atop the Washington Monument are displayed two words: Laus Deo. No one can see these words. In fact, most visitors to the monument are totally unaware they are even there and for that matter, probably couldn’t care less.

Laus Deo! Two seemingly insignificant and unnoticed words. Out of sight and, one might say, out of mind, but very meaningfully placed (more…)

SPECIAL GROCERY LIST

Wednesday, October 20th, 2010

Louise Redden, a poorly dressed lady with a look of defeat on her face, walked into a grocery store. She approached the owner of the store in a most humble manner and asked if he would let her charge a few groceries. She softly explained that her husband was very ill and unable to work, they had seven children and they needed food. John Longhouse, the grocer, scoffed at her and requested that she leave his store at once.

Visualizing the family needs, she said: ‘Please, sir! I will bring you the money just as soon as I can.’ John told her he could not give her credit, since she did not have a charge account at his store.

Standing beside the counter was a customer who overheard the conversation between the two. The customer walked forward and told the grocer that he would stand good (more…)

Freedom-Fighters Forum – 2010 Election Alert

Wednesday, October 13th, 2010

By William J. Dell

I believe that our Constitution and the Republic it established are in very grave danger.  The story of Esther and the festival of Purim may have meaning for us all. You will recall that Haman cast lots for the day of the destruction of the Jews. If we do not turn the tide this election cycle, November 2, our destruction as a Constitutional Republic may also be decided by the votes we cast or fail to cast.

Consider these verses from Esther, “Then Mordecai commanded to answer Esther, Think not with thyself that thou shalt escape in the king’s house, more than all the Jews. For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father’s house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” [Esther 4:13-14, emphasis added]

Have we followed the counsel found in 2 Chronicles 7:14, “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” If not, why not?

I make the following request to ALL my fellow Freedom-Fighters. Will you join with me in making, Sunday, October 31, 2010, just two days before the General Election, a day of Fasting and Prayer. Let us Fast that the election will go in favor of those for the restoration of our divinely inspired Constitution and the Constitutional Republic it established.  Let us fast that the Lord “will hear from heaven, and will forgive our sin, and will heal our land.” [2 Chronicles 7:14]

Many Americans are often heard to say, “But what can I do?” This is something we ALL can do! I pray that this will receive wide distribution. I pray that many will join, with me, in this grass-roots effort to petition for God’s Almighty Hand to move upon the hearts and minds of ALL true Americans as they vote November 2. I pray that this small effort might be a mighty force in the saving of our Constitutional Republic from destruction.

May God Bless and Save the United States of America!
