Freedom-Fighters Forum – 2010 Election Alert

Wednesday, October 13th, 2010

By William J. Dell

I believe that our Constitution and the Republic it established are in very grave danger.  The story of Esther and the festival of Purim may have meaning for us all. You will recall that Haman cast lots for the day of the destruction of the Jews. If we do not turn the tide this election cycle, November 2, our destruction as a Constitutional Republic may also be decided by the votes we cast or fail to cast.

Consider these verses from Esther, “Then Mordecai commanded to answer Esther, Think not with thyself that thou shalt escape in the king’s house, more than all the Jews. For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father’s house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” [Esther 4:13-14, emphasis added]

Have we followed the counsel found in 2 Chronicles 7:14, “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” If not, why not?

I make the following request to ALL my fellow Freedom-Fighters. Will you join with me in making, Sunday, October 31, 2010, just two days before the General Election, a day of Fasting and Prayer. Let us Fast that the election will go in favor of those for the restoration of our divinely inspired Constitution and the Constitutional Republic it established.  Let us fast that the Lord “will hear from heaven, and will forgive our sin, and will heal our land.” [2 Chronicles 7:14]

Many Americans are often heard to say, “But what can I do?” This is something we ALL can do! I pray that this will receive wide distribution. I pray that many will join, with me, in this grass-roots effort to petition for God’s Almighty Hand to move upon the hearts and minds of ALL true Americans as they vote November 2. I pray that this small effort might be a mighty force in the saving of our Constitutional Republic from destruction.

May God Bless and Save the United States of America!

Evening Prayer

Wednesday, October 13th, 2010

Someone has said that if Christians really understood the full extent of the power we have available through prayer, we might be speechless. Did you know that during WWII there was an advisor to Churchill who organized a group of people who dropped what they were doing every day at a prescribed hour for one minute to collectively pray for the safety of England, its people and peace?

There is now a group of people organizing the same thing here in America. If you would like to participate:

Every evening at 9:00 PM Eastern Time (8:00 PM Central) (7:00 PM Mountain) (6:00 PM Pacific), stop whatever you are doing and spend one minute praying for the safety of the United States, our troops, our citizens, and for a return to a Godly nation.

If you know anyone else who would like to participate, please pass this along to our praying friends. Our prayers are the most powerful asset we have.

IN GOD WE TRUST

May God Bless and Save the United States of America

Red Neck Jokes With a Nice Twist

Thursday, October 7th, 2010

We all have enjoyed the redneck jokes for years. It’s time to take a reflective look at the core beliefs of a culture that values God – Family – Country. If I had to stand before a dozen terrorists who threaten my life, I’d choose a half dozen or so red necks to back me up. Tire irons, squirrel guns and grit — that’s what red necks are made of. I hope I am always one of those.

You might be a redneck if:

It never occurred to you to be offended by the phrase, ‘One nation, under God.’

You’ve never protested (more…)

Mary Had a Little Lamb

Wednesday, September 15th, 2010

By Carol Josey

Mary had a little Lamb,
His fleece was white as snow.
And everywhere that Mary went,
The Lamb was sure to go.

He followed her to school each day.
When it wasn’t against the rules.
He made the children laugh and play.
To have a Lamb at school.

Then the rules changed one day,
Against the law it became.
To bring the Lamb of God to school,
Or even speak his Name.

Everyday got worse and worse,
And days turned into years.
Instead of hearing children laugh and play,
You heard them crying tears.

What must we do to stop the crime,
That’s in our schools today?
Let the Lamb come back to school,
And teach the kids to pray!

The story behind it is this:Carol Josey teaches a children’s class at church and she was using a lamb puppet in class when the words to Mary had a Little Lamb came to her head. The Lord told her to write it and she said, Lord everyone knows that poem. He said write it anyway. When she got home, she began to write and she realized the words were not the same as our familiar nursery rhyme. He began to reveal to her that Mary (Jesus’ Mother) had a Little Lamb (Jesus).

The Battle Belongs to the Lord

Wednesday, August 11th, 2010

By William J. Dell

It is the year of our Lord Two Thousand Ten and of the Independence of the United States of America the two hundred thirty-fourth. Today there are many within our nation who fear that our Constitutional Republic established by God through our Founding Fathers is being destroyed by the very people sworn to protect it. Perhaps We the People need to be reminded of two adages with regards to our struggle to preserve our Constitutional Republic: “Let us work as if everything depends on us, and pray as if everything depends on God,” and “Let us have faith that right makes might, and in that faith, let us, to the end, dare to do our duty as we understand it.” – Abraham Lincoln

Beginning in the early twentieth century, there emerged a new body politic that adopted progressive ideals which are not in keeping with the constitutional principles that made our country great and the beacon of hope in a world of darkness. It is a body politic that refuses to honor their sworn duty to protect and defend our Divinely inspired Constitution from all enemies foreign and domestic. In fact, this body politic has become our Constitution’s most aggressive and deadly domestic enemy as they strive to change our Constitutional Republic into a Welfare Socialist State.

You may ask, “Who are these politicians?” (more…)

Our National Day of Prayer

Tuesday, April 20th, 2010

In 1952 President Truman established one day a year as a “National Day of Prayer.”

In 1988, President Reagan designated the first Thursday in May of each year as the National Day of Prayer.

In June 2007, (then) Presidential candidate Barack Obama declared (more…)

The “Conscience” of a Progressive

Monday, March 29th, 2010

By William J. Dell – 29 March 2010

I make no apology for my understanding that God caused this nation to rise and that it was by His providence that it became great. The greatest nation on earth. The beacon of hope and the bulwark of freedom for His children every where. A nation destined to “proclaim liberty throughout all the land [world] unto all the inhabitants thereof:” A nation destined throughout its history, in many conflicts and at the cost of the life’s blood of its citizens, to preserve the liberty and freedom of many nations, kindreds, tongues and peoples.

I make no apology for my understanding that it was God in His infinite wisdom that raised up the Founding Fathers to establish our Constitutional Republic. It was through His Divine providence and inspiration that its founding documents – The Declaration of Independence and the U. S. Constitution – were written. It is from Him that we receive our inalienable rights to life, liberty and property. It must be understood that ALL human rights come from our Father in Heaven and NOT from earthly governments. Because if government has the power and ability to bestow human rights – government has the power to rescind those rights. From 1620 when our Pilgrim Fathers first stepped on Plymouth’s Rock; through the turbulent establishment of this nation; the terrible crucible of Civil War; and on into the first part of the 20th Century, this nation honored this knowledge and the God who caused it to happen.

So what happened in 1913 beginning with the administration of President Woodrow Wilson? By patient, little baby steps, the Progressives, of both parties, began their efforts to TRANSFORM our Constitutional Republic into (more…)

The SPARROW at STARBUCKS

The song that silenced the cappuccino machine

It was chilly in Manhattan but warm inside the Starbucks shop on 51st Street and Broadway, just a skip up from Times Square. Early November weather in New York City holds only the slightest hint of the bitter chill of late December and January, but it’s enough to send the masses crowding indoors to vie for available space and warmth.

For a musician, it’s the most lucrative Starbucks location in the world, I’m told, and consequently, the tips can be substantial if you play your tunes right. Apparently, we were striking all the right chords that night, because our basket was almost overflowing.

It was a fun, low-pressure gig – I was playing keyboard and singing backup for my friend who also added rhythm with an arsenal of percussion instruments. We mostly did pop songs from the ’40s to the ’90s with a few original tunes thrown in. During our emotional rendition of the classic, “If You Don’t Know Me by Now,” I noticed a lady sitting in one of the lounge chairs across from me. She was swaying to the beat and singing along.

After the tune was over, she approached me. “I apologize for singing along on that song. Did it bother you?” she asked. “No,” I replied. “We love it when the audience joins in. Would you like to sing up front on the next selection?”

To my delight, she accepted my invitation. “You choose,” I said. “What are you in the mood to sing?” “Well. …. do you know any hymns?” Hymns? This woman didn’t know who she was dealing with. I cut my teeth on hymns. Before I was even born, I was going to church. I gave our guest singer a knowing look. “Name one.”

“Oh, I don’t know. There are so many good ones. You pick one.”

“Okay,” I replied. “How about ‘His Eye is on the Sparrow’?”

My new friend was silent, her eyes averted. Then she fixed her eyes on mine again and said, “Yeah. Let’s do that one.” She slowly nodded her head, put down her purse, straightened her jacket and faced the center of the shop. With my two-bar setup, she began to sing.

Why should I be discouraged?
Why should the shadows come?

The audience of coffee drinkers was transfixed. Even the gurgling noises of the cappuccino machine ceased as the employees stopped what they were doing to listen. The song rose to its conclusion.

I sing because I’m happy;
I sing because I’m free.
For His eye is on the sparrow
And I know He watches me.

When the last note was sung, the applause crescendoed to a deafening roar that would have rivaled a sold-out crowd at Carnegie Hall. Embarrassed, the woman tried to shout over the din, “Oh, y’all go back to your coffee! I didn’t come in here to do a concert! I just came in here to get somethin’ to drink, just like you!” But the ovation continued.. I embraced my new friend. “You, my dear, have made my whole year! That was beautiful!”

“Well, it’s funny that you picked that particular hymn,” she said. “Why is that?” “Well . ..” she hesitated again, “that was my daughter’s favorite song.” “Really!” I exclaimed. “Yes,” she said, and then grabbed my hands. By this time, the applause had subsided and it was business as usual.. “She was 16. She died of a brain tumor last week.”

I said the first thing that found its way through my stunned silence. “Are you going to be okay?” She smiled through tear-filled eyes and squeezed my hands. “I’m gonna be okay. I’ve just got to keep trusting the Lord and singing his songs, and everything’s gonna be just fine.” She picked up her bag, gave me her card, and then she was gone.

Was it just a coincidence that we happened to be singing in that particular coffee shop on that particular November night? Coincidence that this wonderful lady just happened to walk into that particular shop? Coincidence that of all the hymns to choose from, I just happened to pick the very hymn that was the favorite of her daughter, who had died just the week before? I refuse to believe it.

God has been arranging encounters in human history since the beginning of time, and it’s no stretch for me to imagine that he could reach into a coffee shop in midtown Manhattan and turn an ordinary gig into a revival. It was a great reminder that if we keep trusting him and singing his songs, everything’s gonna be okay.

The next time you feel like GOD can’t use YOU, just remember…

Tennessee Football

Tuesday, November 10th, 2009

By Jody McLeod, Principal

This is a statement that was read over the PA system at the football game at Roane County High School, Kingston, Tennessee, on September 1, 2000, by school Principal, Jody McLeod

“It has always been the custom at Roane County High School football games, to say a prayer and play the National Anthem, to honor God and Country.

“Due to a recent ruling by the Supreme Court, I am told that saying a Prayer is a violation of Federal Case Law. As I understand the law at this time, I can use this public facility to approve of sexual perversion and call it “an alternate life style,” and if someone is offended, that’s OK.

“I can use it to condone sexual promiscuity, by dispensing condoms and calling it, “safe sex.” If someone is offended, that’s OK.

“I can even use this public facility to present the merits of killing an unborn baby as a “viable! means of birth control.” If someone is offended, no problem…

“I can designate a school day as “Earth Day” and involve students in activities to worship religiously and praise the goddess “Mother Earth” and call it “ecology..”

“I can use literature, videos and presentations in the classroom that depicts people with strong, traditional Christian convictions as “simple minded” and “ignorant” and call it “enlightenment..”

“However, if anyone uses this facility to honor GOD and to ask HIM to Bless this event with safety and good sportsmanship, then Federal Case Law is violated.

“This appears to be inconsistent at best, and at worst, diabolical.

“Apparently, we are to be tolerant of everything and anyone, except GOD and HIS Commandments.

“Nevertheless , as a school principal, I frequently ask staff and students to abide by rules with which they do not necessarily agree. For me to do otherwise would be inconsistent at best, and at worst, hypocritical… I suffer from that affliction enough unintentionally. I certainly do not need to add an intentional transgression.

“For this reason, I shall “Render unto Caesar that which is Caesar’s,” and refrain from praying at this time.

“However, if you feel inspired to honor, praise and thank GOD and ask HIM,in the name of JESUS, to Bless this event, please feel free to do so.. As far as I know, that’s not against the law—-yet.”

One by one, the people in the stands bowed their heads, held hands with one another and began to pray.

They prayed in the stands. They prayed in the team huddles. They prayed at the concession stand and they prayed in the Announcer’s Box!

The only place they didn’t pray was in the Supreme Court of the United States of America – the Seat of “Justice” in the “one nation, under GOD.”

Somehow, Kingston , Tennessee Remembered what so many have forgotten. We are given the Freedom OF Religion, not the Freedom FROM Religion. Praise GOD that HIS remnant remains!

JESUS said, “If you are ashamed of ME before men, then I will be ashamed of you before MY FATHER..”

Remarks of Columbine H.S. Dad

Saturday, October 24th, 2009

Guess our national leaders didn’t expect this, hmm? Darrell Scott, the father of Rachel Scott, a victim of the Columbine High School shootings in Littleton, Colorado, was invited to address the House Judiciary Committee’s subcommittee. What he said to our national leaders during this special session of Congress was painfully truthful.

They were not prepared for what he was to say, nor was it received well. It needs to be heard by every parent, every teacher, every politician, every sociologist, every psychologist, and every so-called expert! These courageous words spoken by Darrell Scott are powerful, penetrating, and deeply personal. There is no doubt that God sent this man as a voice crying in the wilderness. The following is a portion of the transcript:

“Since the dawn of creation there has been both good and evil in the hearts of men and women. We all contain the seeds of kindness or the seeds of violence. The death of my wonderful daughter, Rachel Joy Scott, and the deaths of that heroic teacher, and the other eleven children who died must not be in vain. Their blood cries out for answers.

“The first recorded act of violence was when Cain slew his brother Abel out in the field. The villain was not the club he used. Neither was it the NCA, the National Club Association. The true killer was Cain, and the reason for the murder could only be found in Cain’s heart.

“In the days that followed the Columbine tragedy, I was amazed at how quickly fingers began to be pointed at groups such as the NRA. I am not a member of the NRA. I am not a hunter. I do not even own a gun. I am not here to represent or defend the NRA – because I don’t believe that they are responsible for my daughter’s death Therefore I do not believe that they need to be defended. If I believed they had anything to do with Rachel’s murder I would be their strongest opponent.

I am here today to declare that Columbine was not just a tragedy – it was a spiritual event that should be forcing us to look at where the real blame lies! Much of the blame lies here in this room. Much of the blame lies behind the pointing fingers of the accusers themselves. I wrote a poem just four nights ago that expresses my feelings best. This was written way before I knew I would be speaking here today:

Your laws ignore our deepest needs,
Your words are empty air.
You’ve stripped away our heritage,
You’ve outlawed simple prayer.

Now gunshots fill our classrooms,
And precious children die.
You seek for answers everywhere,
And ask the question “Why?”

You regulate restrictive laws,
Through legislative creed.
And yet you fail to understand,
That God is what we need!

“Men and women are three-part beings. We all consist of body, mind, and spirit. When we refuse to acknowledge a third part of our make-up, we create a void that allows evil, prejudice, and hatred to rush in and wreak havoc. Spiritual presences were present within our educational systems for most of our nation’s history. Many of our major colleges began as theological seminaries. This is a historical fact. What has happened to us as a nation? We have refused to honor God, and in so doing, we open the doors to hatred and violence. And when something as terrible as Columbine’s tragedy occurs – politicians immediately look for a scapegoat such as the NRA.. They immediately seek to pass more restrictive laws that contribute to erode away our personal and private liberties. We do not need more restrictive laws. Eric and Dylan would not have been stopped by metal detectors. No amount of gun laws can stop someone who spends months planning this type of massacre. The real villain lies within our own hearts.

“As my son Craig lay under that table in the school library and saw his two friends murdered before his very eyes, he did not hesitate to pray in school. I defy any law or politician to deny him that right! I challenge every young person in America, and around the world, to realize that on April 20, 1999, at Columbine High School prayer was brought back to our schools. Do not let the many prayers offered by those students be in vain. Dare to move into the new millennium with a sacred disregard for legislation that violates your God-given right to communicate with Him. To those of you who would point your finger at the NRA – I give to you a sincere challenge. Dare to examine your
own heart before casting the first stone!

My daughter’s death will not be in vain! The young people of this country will not allow that to happen!”
