Awakening
Wednesday, November 2nd, 2011Attributed to Lawrence Tribble or Helen Kromer
One man awake, awakens another,
The second awakens his next door neighbor,
And three awake can rouse the town,
and turn the whole place upside down.
And many awake can raise such a fuss,
That it finally awakens the rest of us.
One man up with dawn in his eyes – multiplies.
Written in the late 1700s, this poem spoke to Tribbles’ contemporaries spiritually as well as culturally. It can say the same thing to those of us looking for an answer to the madness of today. An awakening needs to happen both spiritually as well as culturally. In Tribbles’ time, the drive toward independence was building and coalescing in the young colonies. So it is now in our time. I believe the stirrings have begun. Godspeed this new awakening. (Comment From FoundersFreedom Blog)
