Well did Thomas Paine say, “What we obtain too cheap, we esteem too lightly: it is dearness only that gives every thing its value. Heaven knows how to put a proper price upon its goods; and it would be strange indeed if so celestial an article as FREEDOM should not be highly rated.”

After Alexis de Tocqueville, a French Jurist, visited America in 1831, he wrote, “I sought for the greatness and genius of America in her commodious harbors and her ample rivers, and it was not there; in her fertile fields and boundless prairies, and it was not there; in her rich mines and her vast world commerce, and it was not there.  Not until I went to the churches of America and heard her pulpits aflame with righteousness did I understand the secret of her genius and power.  America is great because she is good, and if America ever ceases to be good, America will cease to be great.”

This great nation was founded by those fleeing religious persecution from the tyrannical governments of Europe. Religious liberty was of so great importance to them and our Founding Fathers that they ensured our right to religious freedom as item one in our Bill of Rights. The First Amendment of our Constitution states, “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; . . .” [Emphasis added.]

On 29 January, from the pulpits of every Catholic Parish in the United States, a letter was read notifying their parishioners that the Catholic Church continues to be in conflict with ObamaCare’s requirement to provide birth control and abortion services in Catholic hospitals and at Catholic universities. This action was prompted by Health & Human Services Secretary Sebelius rule that would require EVERY faith-based institution, hospital and university to cover “all Food and Drug Administration approved contraceptive methods, sterilization procedures and patient education and counseling for all women with reproductive capacity” against their long-established objections. This is a violation of “the free exercise thereof” clause of the First Amendment. As such, this Health and Human Services rule is unconstitutional and ALL churches and faith-based institutions should join with the Catholic Church in supporting their efforts to reverse this assault on our First Amendment rights.

When Jay Carney, the President’s Press Secretary, was asked, “ . . .  how does the administration justify having the federal government institute a law that basically forces people to violate their religious beliefs?” He responded, “The decision was made, as we have said in the past and Secretary Sebelius has said, after very careful consideration, and the administration believes that this proposal strikes the appropriate balance between respecting religious beliefs and increasing access to important preventive services. We will continue to work closely with religious groups during this transitional period to discuss their concerns.” The difficulty is, as mentioned above, the Obama Administration’s effort to strike “the appropriate balance between respecting religious beliefs and increasing access” prohibits the free exercise of religion. There can be NO balance. We the People are either free to exercise our religious beliefs or we are NOT.

Consider the following two statements. The first is by Rev. Martin Niemüller, a German Lutheran pastor, who was arrested by the Gestapo in 1938. “In Germany, the Nazis first came for the communists, and I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a communist. Then they came for the Jews, and I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a Jew. Then they came for the trade unionists, and I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a trade unionist. Then they came for the Catholics, and I didn’t speak up because I was a Protestant. Then they came for me, and by that time there was no one left to speak for me.”

Fred Albury has quipped, “When they took the 4th Amendment away, I was quiet because I didn’t deal drugs. When they took the 6th Amendment away, I was quiet because I had never been arrested. When they took the 2nd Amendment away, I was quiet because I didn’t own a gun. Now they’ve taken away the 1st Amendment, and all I can do is be quiet.”

We as patriots have often heard that eternal vigilance is the price of freedom. It is interesting to me that the earliest statement that reflects this sentiment was made by John Philpot Curran in a speech upon the Right of Election in 1790. He said: “It is the common fate of the indolent to see their rights become a prey to the active. The condition upon which God hath given liberty to man is eternal vigilance; which condition if he break, servitude is at once the consequence of his crime and the punishment of his guilt.”

Right is right even if no one is doing it.  Wrong is wrong even if everyone is doing it.  Our unalienable rights of life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness and the private ownership of property are granted by God and NOT the government, federal, state or local. Our unalienable rights can only be abridged by the government as “We the People” will allow it. In the words of Daniel Webster, “God grants liberty only to those who love it, and are always ready to guard and defend it.”

Apathy is the greatest threat to America’s freedom! Whether by ignorance or neglect by those who understand, it is the same. In the economy of God, Freedom belongs only to those who believe in it the most. Those who, like the Founding Fathers, are willing to pledge their lives, their fortunes and their sacred honor to its attainment and its preservation. We the People, particularly those grounded in faith, must stand against this latest assault on our First Amendment rights by the Obama Administration and the law enacted by Obama, Pelosi, Reid, et al [the Socialists and Progressives, of both parties] known as ObamaCare!

An intensive investigation has revealed the identity of the man whose Social Security Number (SSN) is being used by President Obama: Jean Paul Ludwig, who was born in France in 1890, emigrated to the United States in 1924, and was assigned SSN 042-68-4425 (Obama’s current SSN) in or about March of 1957.

Ludwig lived most of his adult life in Connecticut. Because of that, his SSN begins with the digits 042, which are among only a select few reserved for Connecticut residents. Obama has never lived or worked in that state. Therefore, there is no reason on earth for his SSN to start with the digits 042. None whatsoever!

Now comes the best part! Ludwig spent the final months of his life in Hawaii, where he died. Conveniently, Obama’s grandmother, Madelyn Payne Dunham, worked part-time in the Probate Office in the Honolulu Hawaii Courthouse, and therefore had access to the SSNs of deceased individuals. The Social Security Administration was never informed of Ludwig’s death, and because he never received Social Security benefits,
there were no benefits to stop and therefore, no questions were ever raised.

The suspicion, of course, is that Dunham, knowing her grandson was not a U.S. citizen, either because he was born in Kenya or became a citizen of Indonesia upon his adoption by Lolo Soetoro simply scoured the probate records until she found a deceased person who had not been receiving Social Security benefits, and selected Mr. Ludwig’s Connecticut SSN for Obama.

Just wait until Trump gets past the birth certificate and onto the issue of Barry O’s use of a stolen SSN. You will see leftist heads exploding, because they will have no way of defending Obama.

Although many Americans do not understand the meaning of the term “natural born” there are few who do not understand that if you are using someone else’s SSN it is a clear indication of fraud. You can check this out at:

Article I. Section 8. of our Constitution has a clause which has become known as the “Commerce Clause.” This clause states that the Congress shall have power – “To regulate Commerce with foreign Nations, and among the several States, and with the Indian Tribes.” [Emphasis added.] The effect of this clause is a grant of power to the federal government by We the People to regulate inter-state commerce between or “among the several States” but NOT intra-state commerce since intra-state commerce is contained within the boundary of a single State. This coupled with the Tenth Amendment which states, “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people” has been a powerful check on the federal government’s intrusion into We the People’s private and personal business affairs.

An understanding of the Commerce Clause is very important for We the People. This is particularly true in the case of healthcare. The Affordable Health Care for America Act (ObamaCare) is presently before the Supreme Court. Many believe, including twenty-six States Attorney Generals, that ObamaCare violates the Commerce Clause as it requires individual citizens to purchase health insurance. This writer agrees with the States Attorney Generals’ position as explained in the following.

Regulation of insurance has always been a States Right. Each of the several States have their own Insurance Commissioners and their own rules for regulating the licencing of agents, the sale and purchase of insurance. This has been true for all types of insurance: life, fire, auto, business, and health throughout our history as a nation. This is why you must purchase new auto and home insurance if you move to another State. Your insurance is not portable across state lines and therefore is not subject to control under the Commerce Clause.

ObamaCare has a provision that REQUIRES every citizen to purchase health insurance or pay a fine. Health insurance has not and is not involved with commerce “among the several States” as the sale and purchase of ALL insurance is conducted within each State separately under their own laws and regulations. Therefore it is unconstitutional for the Congress to require We the People, individually or collectively, to purchase any form of insurance.

This past week I heard that the Republicans are drafting their own version of a national health care law to replace ObamaCare when it is repealed or declared unconstitutional. One of the provisions they are intending to place in this new law is the ability to purchase health care across state lines. On the surface this may appeal to many people because they can then shop for the least expensive insurance. But living in Pennsylvania and having the ability to purchase insurance from Arkansas has unintended consequences. Once We the People can purchase health insurance, or anything else for that matter, across state lines that purchase becomes subject to the Commerce Clause and regulation by the federal government. Is this something We the People want? Can you think of one program that the federal government has successfully managed for the benefit of We the People in the past 100 years? How about energy? Education? “Fast and Furious?” Immigration? Fannie and Freddie? Social Security? MediCare? And the list goes on!

There has been an absolute truth over the past 100 years of our national history. It is that the Socialist and Progressives, of both parties, have had no interest in managing the federal government for the benefit of We the People. Their only interest has been to manage the federal government to increase and expand their power at the expense of We the People’s Liberty. It is their over-arching desire to move our nation from a Republic to a Welfare Socialist State under an Oligarchy with them, our elected representatives (politicians), as the Rulers and We the People as their servants (slaves). Remember you cannot judge this by their rhetoric which is designed to disguise their true intent. You must view it from the cumulative results of their policies and the laws they have enacted over the past 100 years which has already made 47% of the citizenry dependent upon (slaves) the federal government.

Truly what our Founding Fathers taught is absolute, “Smaller government and closer to the people, is better government.” There are reasons for this. First, We the People [the Rulers] can keep a better watch on what is being done. Second, what makes sense economically, environmentally, socially, etc. in little Rhode Island and the Northeast may NOT be the best course of action for Texas and the Southwest. Just a small illustration. It makes no sense to drive a car at 75 mph on the twisty, curvy roads of the Northeast and it makes no sense to limit drivers to 55 mph along the wide open roads of the Southwest. It also makes no sense to universally apply “social safety net payments” across a nation where cost-of-living requirements are so varied from state to state and location to location within the several States. These things are best handled by the several States as set forth in the Constitution and the Tenth Amendment of the Bill of Rights.

When any branch of the federal government seeks to increase its control by usurping powers NOT granted by We the People in the Constitution our freedoms are eroded a little more and tyranny tightens its chains around an uninformed and unsuspecting populace, We the People. I for one believe that I know how to manage my affairs better than the Congress or the President.

Isn’t that why our Founding Fathers spelled out in the Declaration of Independence our unalienable rights from God to Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness? Rights that are granted by God and not government! Isn’t that why our Founding Fathers and their compatriots fought to obtain our Liberty from a tyrannical King George III and his Parliament? Isn’t that why they gave us a Constitutional Republic based upon written law rather than a democracy? Isn’t that why the Bill of Rights was added to our Constitution to protect We the People from intrusion and tyranny by our own federal government and to protect our Freedoms granted by the Constitution?

We the People [the RULERS] need to be aware of and consider the unintended consequences that can result from laws enacted by our State and Federal elected representatives [our SERVANTS]. “The price of Liberty is eternal vigilance” and We the People, individually and as a nation, need to understand and accept our individual responsibility as citizen voters to Liberty’s preservation.

SO, USE IT!!!

We the People, as a nation, MUST win in both the Primary and General Elections of 2012. As individual voters and American Patriots, we MUST learn to VOTE AMERICAN and NOT PARTY! Incumbency is NOT a reason for re-election! Performance, as a Statesman, should be the ONLY criteria for retention.

It is We the People’s responsibility, as voting citizens, to “secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity” at the ballot box. In OUR Constitutional Republic, We the People are to be the “Rulers” and our elected representatives our “Servants.” It is our responsibility as “Rulers” to hire [elect] only Statesmen concerned about the future of our Constitutional Republic and NOT Politicians concern only about their political career and their ego-centric interests to further that career. If We the People fail in OUR responsibility, the America, we received from our grandparents, will cease to exist, the vision of our Founding Fathers will be destroyed and the Light of Liberty will be extinguished not only for ourselves and our posterity but throughout the world.

This November, We the People MUST regain the White House and the Senate and strengthen our position in the House of Representatives or else we will continue to see our liberties eroded. The Socialists and Progressives of both major Parties will continue to grow the federal government when it needs to be cut in size. We will continue to have federal departments levy more and more unneeded regulations that will increase our cost of living. We will continue to have our First and Second Amendment rights guaranteed by the Bill of Rights eroded and destroyed. We the People, as a nation, will continue to have more out of control “entitlement” spending leading us down the road toward a Welfare Socialist State and collapse as seen in Greece and Italy today. Our debt to income ration as a nation has already passed 100% which is testimony that Our Federal Government is living well beyond our means!

We the People need to remember that —  United We Win! Divided We Fail.

The following is a list of ways that YOU can provide help for YOUR Conservative Candidate for any elected office. YOU need to get behind and support YOUR Conservative Candidates by helping them during the Primary Election process.  If YOUR candidate fails to win the Primary, remember YOU need to then get behind and support the Conservative Primary Winner in the November General Election.

1. Donating money to the Candidate.

2. Volunteering in the candidates office.

3. Volunteering in the candidates office in a calling effort.

4. Volunteering by passing out flyers.

5. Speaking to everyone you know about your Candidate for them to support your Candidate with the reasons why.

6. Volunteer to hold fund raising parties in your home.

7. Volunteer to hold discussion group meetings in your home to talk about the Candidate and how they can make a difference in the Primary Election in May.

8. Contact the Candidates Campaign to offer to help in any other way that the Candidate needs help on.

9. Volunteer to hold up signs at the main street in your City or Town.

10. Attending any of the Candidates Town hall meetings and getting as many others to attend.

11. Volunteer with Voter Registration.

12. Volunteer to help in the County Fair or other Activities where the Candidate has a Booth.

13. Attend and participate in the Conservative 912 Group and/or Tea Party of your County to support conservative candidates.

14. Be a supply depot for your Candidates signs, door hangers and bumper stickers.

So the bottom line is that I am asking YOU to go out and work, fight and champion YOUR candidate for the Primary. Then when the results are in and the dust is settled and YOU are over the disappointment that YOUR candidate did not surface as the winner go do the same for the winner of the Primary.

In a recent email, I read about a woman named Pam, who knows the pain of considering abortion. More than 24 years ago, she and her husband Bob were serving as missionaries to the Philippines and praying for a fifth child. Pam contracted amoebic dysentery, an infection of the intestine caused by a parasite found in contaminated food or drink. She went into a coma and was treated with strong antibiotics before they discovered she was pregnant.

Doctors urged her to abort the baby for her own safety and told her that the medicines had caused irreversible damage to her baby. She refused the abortion and cited her Christian faith as the reason for her hope that her son would be born without the devastating disabilities physicians predicted. Pam said the doctors didn’t think of it as a life, they thought of it as a mass of fetal tissue.

While pregnant, Pam nearly lost their baby four times but refused to consider abortion. She recalled making a pledge to God with her husband: If you will give us a son, we’ll name him Timothy and we’ll make him a preacher.

Pam ultimately spent the last two months of her pregnancy in bed and eventually gave birth to a healthy baby boy August 14, 1987. Pam’s youngest son is indeed a preacher. He preaches in prisons, makes hospital visits, and serves with his father’s ministry in the Philippines. He also plays football. Pam’s son is Tim Tebow.

The University of Florida’s star quarterback became the first sophomore in history to win college football’s highest award, the Heisman Trophy. His current role as quarterback of the Denver Broncos has provided an incredible platform for Christian witness. As a result, he is being called The Mile-High Messiah.

Tim’s notoriety and the family’s inspiring story have given Pam numerous opportunities to speak on behalf of women’s centers across the country. Pam Tebow believes that every little baby you save matters. I pray her tribe will increase!

1. Do not sign the back of your credit cards. Instead, put ‘PHOTO ID REQUIRED.’

2. When you are writing checks to pay on your credit card accounts, DO NOT put the complete account number on the ‘For’ line. Instead, just put the last four numbers. The credit card company knows the rest of the number, and anyone who might be handling your check as it passes through all the check processing channels won’t have access to it.

3.. Put your work phone # on your checks instead of your home phone. If you have a PO Box use that instead of your home address. If you do not have a PO Box, use your work address. Never have your SS# printed on your checks. (DUH!) You can add it if it is necessary. But if you have It printed, anyone can get it.

4. Place the contents of your wallet on a photocopy machine. Do both sides of each license, credit card, etc. You will know what you had in your wallet and all of the account numbers and phone numbers to call and cancel… Keep the photocopy in a safe place. I also carry a photocopy of my passport when I travel either here or abroad. We’ve all heard horror stories about fraud that’s committed on us in stealing a Name, address, Social Security number, credit cards..

Unfortunately, I, an attorney, have first hand knowledge because my wallet was stolen last month. Within a week, the thieves ordered an expensive monthly cell phone package, applied for a VISA credit card, had a credit line approved to buy a Gateway computer, received a PIN number from DMV to change my driving record information online, and more. But here’s some critical information to limit the damage in case this happens to you or someone you know:

5. We have been told we should cancel our credit cards immediately. But the key is having the toll free numbers and your card numbers handy so you know whom to call. Keep those where you can find them.

6.. File a police report immediately in the jurisdiction where your credit cards, etc., were stolen. This proves to credit providers you were diligent, and this is a first step toward an investigation (if there ever is one).

But here’s what is perhaps most important of all: (I never even thought to do this.)

7. Call the 3 national credit reporting organizations immediately to place a fraud alert on your name and also call the Social Security fraud line number. I had never heard of doing that until advised by a bank that called to tell me an application for credit was made over the Internet in my name.

The alert means any company that checks your credit knows your information was stolen, and they have to contact you by phone to authorize new credit..

By the time I was advised to do this, almost two weeks after the theft, all the damage had been done There are records of all the credit checks initiated by the thieves’ purchases, none of which I knew about before placing the alert. Since then, no additional damage has been done, and the thieves threw my wallet away this weekend (someone turned it in). It seems to have stopped them dead in their tracks….

Now, here are the numbers you always need to contact about your wallet, if it has been stolen:

The hour’s late, should go to bed
Near midnight I believe
But memories keep me wide awake
This snowy Christmas Eve.

Yes, memories of my kids moved on
Each has their separate life
Now the holidays have changed
Since angels took my wife.

The toys, the food, the Christmas cheer,
My wife would bear the load
Because I would work most holidays
State Trooper on the road.

Just sitting in my easy chair
So many years retired
I reminisce of times gone by
And all that’s transpired.

Of all the many happenings
That seem to come to light
A multitude of them occurred
Right on this very night.

A drunken woman in a wreck
Who died on Christmas Eve
Leaves memories of a tragic case
Most people can’t believe.

I had to drive to where she lived
To tell her next of kin
And found the run down mobile home
She had been living in.

The person answering the door
I still recall today
A little girl about four years old
She said, “I’m Sue McKay.”

I asked her if her dad was home
And felt the longest pause
She said, “My daddy ran away.
You must be Santa Claus.”

My mommy said you’d come tonight
If I just stayed in bed
And bring a pretty doll for me
That’s what my mommy said.”

I broke the law that Christmas Eve
Did not call child’s care
They’d merely put her in a room
And that I could not bear.

I picked her up and took her home,
My wife tucked her in bed
And wrapped a pretty doll for her

Adopted by a loving home
And soon they moved away
I won’t forget that Christmas Eve
And little Sue McKay.

Another bitter Christmas Eve
A blizzard to behold
Had left a family in a ditch
Just trapped there in the cold.

By grace of God I spotted them
All cold and gaunt with fright
I drove them to a motel room
To safely spend the night.

One Christmas Eve a homeless man
Shivering and wet
Was trying hard to get a ride
I’m sure he’d never get.

I picked him up and drove him
To a diner on the hill
To warm his bones
And left him with a five dollar bill.

Strange how when your all alone
With memories you recall
You think of everything you’ve done
And was it worth it all.

I think about my God, my job,
My children and my wife
Would I do it all the same,
Could I relive my life?

Then come a knock upon my door
This late who could it be
A neighbor or a Santa Claus
Come to visit me.

The figure standing in the cold
Gives me a sudden fright
A trooper with that solemn look
Dear God, who’s died tonight.

I’m flashing back through bygone years
And how I’d often stood
On someone’s porch to bring them news
And it was never good.

Is this how life gets back at me
For misery I’ve induced
Where pain I’ve cause some other folks
Has now come home to roost.

But looking in the trooper’s eyes
My mind is in a whirl.

The trooper is a girl.

She smiled and reached to shake my hand
