America is Worth Saving!

America, with the aid of God’s Almighty Hand, rose from its humble beginnings at Jamestown, VA and Plymouth, MA in the seventeenth century to be a beacon of hope for all who desired to live free or die. In 1776 the colonists rose up against the tyranny of an oppressive government to establish a nation based upon Judeo-Christian principles and freedom of the individual. The freedom granted by the inalienable rights of man endowed by the Creator to life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness and the private ownership of property.
Over a period of 13 years, a Constitution and Bill of Rights were ratified establishing our Divinely inspired Constitutional Republic. A Constitution where We the People retained power to ourselves and only granted the Federal Government limited power to deal with collective international issues of governance and inter-state commerce. ALL other issues of governance were retained by the States or We the People by the Tenth Amendment. In the words of President Abraham Lincoln, We the People established a government of the people, by the people, and for the people.
For 125 years the glory that was once America continued unabated through a series of conflicts, including a Civil War, and the industrial revolution. This was to end however during the early years of the twentieth century. Progressives began to control the political process. The Sixteenth and Seventeenth Amendments of the Constitution were ratified in 1913. The Sixteenth Amendment established the income tax and the birth of an onerous and voluminous tax code. The Seventeenth Amendment, which granted popular election of Senators, destroyed the significant “vertical” check and balance that allowed the individual States equal representation in the Federal Government. With this amendment Senators became beholden to the voters rather than State Legislatures and Governors and brought to the States numerous unfunded mandates contrary to the Tenth Amendment.
Progressives also began dismantling the freedom granted by citizen self-reliance in favor of citizen slavery to larger and larger Federal Government through social-justice programs and an entitlement safety net. During the next 110 years, the ideal established with the aid of God’s Almighty Hand that was America was assaulted and diminished by:
- The New Deal of Franklin D. Roosevelt,
- The Fair Deal of Harry S. Truman,
- The New Frontier of John F. Kennedy,
- The Great Society of Lyndon B. Johnson and lastly by
- The outright Socialist programs, including ObamaCare, of Barak H. Obama and his minions Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid.
Activist judges and justices, through all levels of the Federal Court system, destroyed another “horizontal” check and balance as they began legislating from the bench in favor of the Progressive ideology rather than enforcing our Divinely inspired Constitution and the Constitutional law of the land as intended by We the People. Sadly this has even extended to our Supreme Court. These “jurists” are largely responsible for destruction of the traditional family and establishing atheistic Secular Humanism as the “state religion” of the United States. The latter being “established” contrary to the First Amendment of our Constitution.
It must be realized by ALL Americans, that the Progressives, of both parties, were never really interested in helping citizens. They were only interested in redistribution of wealth to garner votes, to retain power to themselves and further the one world government plans of the Progressives. Progressives have never been nor will they ever be Statesmen concerned about America or the principles which made America great. They are quintessential politicians whose only interest is retention of POWER to themselves, the subjugation of a free citizenry under a global structure of one world government and the destruction of our national sovereignty.
Many in America bemoan the loss of the American Ideal. They wring their hands and ask but what can I do? This past election was a start but there is another election in two years. In 2012, once again ALL 435 Representatives will run for re-election along with 37 Senators. We MUST continue to place in the Congress individuals who are for our Divinely inspired Constitutional Republic and the Judeo-Christian principles upon which our nation was founded. Then we must elect a President who will also live up to the responsibility of the oath of office. Until we, as citizens, rid our nation of the Progressives in ALL levels of government (National, State and Local) and the Judiciary, as well as their bureaucrats, and elect Statesmen rather than politicians we, as a Constitutional Republic, will remain in danger. We cannot let down our guard because the election of 2010 is over. We, as citizens, must always remember that “eternal vigilance is the price of freedom.”
We the People, with the aid of God’s Almighty Hand, have only begun the process of restoring America. We must as the scripture states continue His process of restoration: “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” [2 Chronicles 7:14] Please continue to pray for our Constitutional Republic and those who were newly elected to help preserve our freedoms and the Ideal known as America!
