Tax Day Protest 2010

Yesterday, April 19, was the 235th anniversary of “The shot heard round the world” fired at Concord, NH. I believe it safe to say that King George III and the English Parliament were NOT listening. In 1837 Ralph Waldo Emerson wrote the Concord Hymn:
By the rude bridge that arched the flood,
Their flag to April’s breeze unfurled;
Here once the embattled farmers stood,
And fired the shot heard ‘round the world.’
This year on April 15, I attended the Tax Day Rally in front of the Court House in Hollidaysburg, Blair County, PA. There were, by my unofficial count, some 250 persons in attendance. These Patriots also had “Their flag to April’s breeze unfurled.” I also believe that ‘King’ Barack Obama and the Congress were and are NOT listening.
One poll shows an 80% support for the “Tea Party Movement.” Yet the 20% of the extreme Left and the main stream media still try to dismiss the “Tea Partiers” as a fringe, and NOT the mind and will of the American people. The Left still continues their efforts to force their socialist agenda upon We the People because they believe they are smarter than the Founding Fathers or us and they alone know what is good for We the People and our Nation.
These Patriots, at our Court House, and many like them throughout this Constitutional Republic, however, will not give in to the “hate speech” of the Left. We will not be demonized by the Left or the main stream media. We know we are NOT “kooks,” “racists,” or “extremists.” By and large we are God fearing average citizens of the greatest Constitutional Republic to ever be established and that by the Divine Providence who raised up the Founding Fathers to that very purpose.

These do NOT express any extremist motives. It is clear to ALL thinking American’s that the Tea Party’s, cental purpose is but one: “To maintain the American way of life as given us by God through our Founding Fathers and pass it intact to succeeding generations.” Is this NOT the responsibility of every true American! How can we, who hold God, Family and Country dear, do anything else but to stand against this tyranny of the Left and their efforts to turn our Constitutional Republic into a Welfare Socialist State? How can we not oppose the destruction of the American Ideal and way of life? How can we not labor in so just a cause as to remove the “chains of slavery” which already encircle 47% of this Nation? We invite All true American to join in our efforts to restore our Constitutional Republic and our God given inalienable rights to Life, Liberty, and Property.
