Amore Dei, Familiae, Patriae ducit !

For some time, years, I have been observing the political discourse of the Democratic Party. A party that has been hijacked and destroyed by the Democratic left and the right. For most of the past 100 years the party of Jefferson has forsaken his philosophy for that of Marx and Engels, represented by the Socialist-DINOs on the Democratic left, and the philosophy of the Progressives on the Democratic right. They have dropped the Jeffersonian attitude of small, limited federal government and self-reliance for large federal government and tyranny through social-justice. The only difference between these two Democratic camps is how fast they want to change our Constitutional Republic into a Welfare Socialist State. How Jefferson must weep!

It was Jefferson who said, “If we can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under pretense of caring for them, they will be happy. The same prudence which in private life would forbid our paying our money for unexplained projects, forbids it in the disposition of public money. We are endeavoring to reduce the government to the practice of rigid economy to avoid burdening the people and arming the magistrate with a patronage of money which might be used to corrupt the principles of our government.”

How the Democrats have corrupted the vision of Jefferson! These “modern” Democratic ideologues have such “tunnel vision” that they do not even recognize that the policies they espouse contrary to the Jeffersonian philosophy have failed in every nation that has ever tried them. Polices that have brought our Constitutional Republic to the brink of economic and financial ruin. Polices that have grown the debt to $14.3T.

We, as a nation, cannot continue “handouts” to non-producers. This is why charity is best administered by communities and not governments. Open-ended government handouts destroy the incentive of the recipient to help him or herself. If another handout payment is coming next month why should they find another source of income to help themselves? The down and out must be taught to fish and not be given fish month by month.

Why is it that the Democrats refuse to use logic when in the political debate over any of the challenges that confront our nation? Why is it that they ALWAYS resort to demagoguery and scare tactics rather than civil discourse and a discussion based upon the facts? Why is it that they play on the emotions of the electorate through attack ads? Why is it they ignore the consequences of their policies that are leading our Constitutional Republic to the brink of extinction denying the “Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity?”

The Answer: It is because they care nothing about Freedom and Liberty as bequeathed to us by the Founding Fathers. They only care about POWER to themselves at the expense of everything true Americans hold near and dear – The Declaration of Independence, the Constitution and Bill of Rights. Sadly, there are also a number of Republican Progressives who hold these same beliefs!
